Bhubaneswar, Jan 13 : The Colourful five days National Youth Festival ends this evening after National Anthem and Fire works. On the occasion of the closing ceremony started after the Suryakiran Show by the Indian Air Force; Culture Display by the Event Management.
A colourful march past by the state contingents Hum Yuba followed by the welcome address by the Minister of State Sports and Youth Services Praveen Chandra Bhanja Deo. Then Address by Celebrity Guest Vijendra Singh, Bronze Medialist (Boxing) Bejing 2008. , and address by the Union Minister of State Youth Affairs and Sports Pratik Prakashbapu Patil.
The Chief Minister also released a souvenir on this occasion. The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presented the awards. The Commissioner cum Secretary , Sports and Youth Services P.K. Mohapatra proposed the vote of thanks.
The Chief Minister announced the close of 15th National Youth Festival 2010 and the Indian Navy Good Bye to the Mascot by beating the Retreat. Malkhamba presentation , Chhau Dance , Dance of Prince Dance Group on the theme Sare Jahanse Achha. More than 3500 artistes from every nook and cranny of the country showed up at the event, hosted by Orissa for the first time. And it was a grand success.
On the closing ceremony Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presented awards to the awardees of different events. In Folk Dance Ist Odisha ,2nd Haryana and 3rd Tamil Nadu. Cash awards given Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively . In Folk Song Ist Kerla, 2nd Bihar and 3rd Manipur also awarded Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively . In One Act Play Joint Ist Gujurat and Bihar, Joint Second Punjab and Moharastra, and 3rd Jointly Kerala and Himachal Pradesh awarded same amount as above. In Manipuri Gotimayam Sarjubala of Manipur Ist , Sinam Basu Singh of West Bengal 2nd and Sudip Kumar Ghosh of Tripura 3rd. They were awarded with certificate and Cash of Rs7,000/-, Rs5,000/- and Rs3,000/- respectively. In Bharat Natyam Krishna .P of kerla Ist, Priya Bhaskaran of Delhi 2nd In Kathak Biswajit Chakrabarty of Chhatisgarh Ist, Priyanka Malhotra of Uttar Pradesh 2nd and Anasua Majumdar West bengal 3rd. In Odissi Biswajit Dash of Karnatak Ist, Reswari Mohanty of Orissa 2nd, and Nilakhi Maity of West Bengal 3rd. In Classical Vocal Hindustani Akash Guntial of Chhatisgarh Ist, Divya Sharma of Rajasthan 2nd and Ramkrishna Verma of Delhi 3rd.
