Indian Navy Jet Crashes At Air Show

INDIA-CRASH An Indian navy jet performing in an air show crashed in southern India on Wednesday, killing both the pilot and co-pilot and injuring two civilians on the ground, according to reports.

A local police commissioner, said that the pilot unsuccessfully tried to eject from the aircraft as it fell and hit a water tank atop a five-story building near Begumpet airport in Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh state.

Admiral Nirmal Verma, the Navy Chief, told reporters, "The aircraft went out of control. But the cause of the crash was not immediately known."
