Live Earth partners with Walking for Water, a school-based program to raise awareness around World Water Day on March 22nd. Participating students are sponsored by friends and family and commit to walking 6 kilometers, carrying 6 liters of water in backpacks to raise funds to finance water projects in developing countries. In 2009 this program raised more than 1 million Euros to support clean, safe, drinking water projects!
