Miley Cyrus Manages to Out-Raunch Katy Perry at Music Awards Ceremony

By Emily Sheridan

She's only 17, but teenage pop rebel Miley Cyrus is continuing to show the world she's growing up fast as she wore a series of sexy outfits at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada last night.

The Hannah Montana star showed off her tanned figure in a pair of scantily clad ensembles as she performed two songs and picked up an award at the star-studded ceremony in Toronto.

While Katy Perry showed off her curves in a glittery retro two-piece, Cyrus managed to flash even more flesh in a revealing black leotard and leather hotpants.

The 17-year-old kicked off the annual awards bash with a bang as she sang last year's hit Party In The U.S.A. in her sexy black ensemble, where she was joined by Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber, who didn't appear to mind dancing in such close proximity with scantily clad Cyrus.

She changed the lyrics from 'a Jay-Z song was on' to a 'JB song was on' as a mystery hoodie-clad man cycled on stage, only to reveal himself as Bieber to the delight of the younger members of the audience.

Cyrus later changed into a white leotard for a voodoo-themed performance of her new single Can't Be Tamed, which has been causing controversy in recent weeks due to the raunchy dance moves.

Not like a virgin any more: Miley's look appeared to be inspired by Madonna's Like A Virgin ensemble
Her white lace basque, which looked inspired by Madonna's Like A Virgin ensemble, was so tight, she nearly exposed a bit too much to those in the front row.

Since announcing her children's TV show Hannah Montana had ended, Cyrus has been turning her back on her clean-cut past with a raunchy new image.
During recent performances of her single Can't Be Tamed, the teenager has even simulated a lesbian kiss with a female dancer.
As a role model to teenagers and with many young fans in the audience of the MuchMusic Awards, perhaps Cyrus's outfits were a tad unsuitable for the family show.

Acknowledging it was Father's Day as she accepted her International Video Of The Year by an Artist for Party In The U.S.A., Cyrus said: 'First, I want to tell my dad (Billy Ray Cyrus) that I love him, since I forgot to call him till really late.'

Perry may have gone home from the ceremony empty-handed, but she won over plenty of fans as she arrived on the red carpet in an ice cream van and dished out iced treats to those queuing outside the awards.
Just like her stage outfit, the 25-year-old revealed plenty of flesh in an asymmetrical blue Ashish dress with ties on the side and a pair of Christian Louboutin nude killer heels.

One of the big winners last night was homegrown teen idol Bieber, 16, who picked up three accolades, including two for his duet with Ludacris, Baby.
Bieber won the biggest screams of the night, with some young fans camping out for days in Toronto's city centre for the chance to see their idol.
Pop punk group Hedley also scored three awards, including the coveted Pop Video Of The Year Award.
