Itanagar, Dec 10 : As a part of the Agenda for 100-day of Ministry of Department of North Eastern Region (DoNER), a multi-state composite competitive cultural programme, called ''North East Wave'', in the television reality show is being taken up by North Eastern Council (NEC) to encourage the talented youths of this region.
Suyojan Films (India) Pvt Limited of New Delhi has been awarded the contract by NEC, official sources said today.
The programme will showcase the composite cultural heritage like folk, ethnic dances, songs of the region as well as the modern creative dance and songs to suit the aesthetic taste of the day and mainstreaming the talented youth of the NE region into the national pool.
The show has been divided into two parts--one competitive and one non-competitive part. The non-competitive part will be organised in consultation with the state governments of NE states.
In this connection an audition team from Suyojan Film will visit the district which will set off from December 15, onwards and will cover 21 specific locations (district headquarters) in the region.
The Mega finale of the reality show will be telecasted live in an open air stadium at Guwahati during third week of February next.
Audition in the state would be conducted at Bomdila on December 20 and December 27 at Itanagar, informed MS Bhuyan, Adviser, Banking, Industries and Tourism, Assam, sources added.
