Buttonless iPhone, iPad around the corner
Seems like Steve Jobs’ dream of a phone with no buttons whatsoever is about to come true.
The latest iOS 5 beta 3 firmware released to developers today adds a new ‘AssistiveTouch’ accessibility feature, which brings up on-screen controls for common actions associated with the home, power and volume keys.
The folks at 9To5Mac have found that the controls can be summoned by swiping the screen from a user-defined corner of the display and works on both iPhone and iPad.
I am not sure if we will see button-less iDevices in September but the video after the break is certainly worth checking out.
